Anacortes

Anacortes is a small coastal town of approximately 20,000 residents. The town of Anacortes is located on Fidalgo Island, one of the islands that encompass the beautiful San Juan Islands in Washington State. Although Anacortes is on an island, it is connected to land by 3 bridges; Rainbow Bridge in La Conner, Deception Pass Bridge in Oak Harbor, and The Twin Bridges in Mount Vernon, so there is no ferry involved to get in and out of the island. Approximately an hour and a half away from both Seattle, WA, and Vancouver, B.C., Fidalgo Island is within easy reach of the big city life, but most residents find there’s plenty to do here at home. Whale watching, fishing, kayaking, sailing, boating, bird watching, camping, shipping, and dining are just some of the many things you can do here in or around Anacortes. Come visit, play, and stay in beautiful Anacortes.
